Announcing the OpenLeaf Mobile App for Free Ebooks

OpenLeaf mobile app announcement

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve started working on OpenLeaf, a mobile application dedicated to bringing the power of free ebooks to readers everywhere.

What is OpenLeaf App?

OpenLeaf is a mobile app built to provide a clean, distraction-free reading experience for thousands of free ebooks available through the Project Gutenberg library. It’s designed for readers who want quality literature without the clutter, ads, or distractions of modern digital platforms.

Timeline

The app will be ready in a few months and will launch first on the Google Play Store for Android users. This initial release will help us understand how the reading community engages with the app and what features matter most to you.

iOS Coming Next

Based on the response and interest from our reading community, I will then begin work on an iOS version of the app. Your feedback during the Android launch will directly shape the iOS development roadmap.

Stay Tuned

This is just the beginning of the OpenLeaf journey. Keep an eye on this space as we move toward launch, and thank you for your support in building a better reading experience for the world.

Happy reading, With OpenLeaf

An IT professional close to 20 years of experience and an immersive reader since childhood - somewhere around age eight or nine, when books quietly became a lifelong companion. Never counted it for sure but it has to be over 1,500 books read across a life. A proud owner of a personal library of 500 books and counting. Favourite shelves: mystery, thriller, literary fiction, world mythology, history, and the classics. Built OpenLeaf anonymously to help more people find their way back to books, away from the noise, and toward something quieter and more lasting.

This blog is written anonymously, by design.
